The doctor's words echoed in his ears – “Take it easy.” Easier said than done, thought Michael, rubbing his tired eyes. He'd wandered into the bookstore, seeking a distraction from the relentless demands of his life.

Choosing a well-loved copy of “The Odyssey,” he settled into a quiet corner. A small, yellowed piece of paper fell from the pages. It contained a list of simple pleasures: "A warm bath, a good cup of tea, the sound of the wind."

He felt a pang of something akin to guilt, followed by a slight sense of comfort. He looked at the list again, a tiny, almost imperceptible smile touching his lips. He realized he had forgotten the small things.
